We believe that the right environment gives men in recovery the foundation they need to do whatever comes next. We do not tell our residents where to get treatment. We hold the space while they do the work. Our expectations help maintain this foundation. Residents agree to the following:
Complete sobriety — zero alcohol, zero non-prescribed drugs
Compliance with curfew (10 PM weeknights, 11 PM weekends)
A minimum of three recovery meetings per week
Active pursuit of employment, education, or treatment goals
Participation in weekly household responsibilities
Respect for every person in the home
We test. Regularly, randomly, and without apology. Random and routine drug and alcohol testing protects every person in the home. It is not a punishment, it is the standard that makes sobriety real. Residents who self-disclose a struggle are treated with care, not judgment.
Nova is MAT-friendly. Residents on buprenorphine, naltrexone, methadone, or other prescribed MAT medications are welcome — with valid prescriptions and physician documentation. We believe in evidence-based recovery, and we do not penalize residents for the treatment their doctor has prescribed.
Nova provides housing. Your treatment choices are entirely yours. We never require residents to attend a specific treatment program. We support whatever path you are on, whether you choose PHP, IOP, HIOP, individual therapy, peer support, or any combination of treatment. Although we do have treatment partners in the community, we do not dictate your path.
